the heart of our sports medicine team are our certified athletic trainers
(ATCs) with a combined 100+ years of athletic coverage and injury treatment
in Berks County. Each of our ATCs is specifically trained to provide
emergency care, injury assessment and evaluation, and return to play
decisions.

In situations where the sport or size of event dictates our sports medicine physicians can accompany the athletic trainers to provide a team that can deal with medical situation that might arise during an athletic event. The physicians at CATC are primary care physicians with extensive experience covering a variety of sporting events on many different levels. Sports medicine physicians can treat the common musculoskeletal injuries, in addition, they also treat the non-orthopedic emergencies including head injuries, heat illness, and asthma just to name a few.
